Dee Merrell

Dee Merrell joined Erin B. Shank, P.C. in 2009 as the receptionist/legal secretary in the Killeen office.  Each one of the special clients who walk through the front door of the law firm office is welcomed warmly by Dee and made to feel comfortable and completely at ease before their meetings with the attorneys and counselors.   Being a military dependent, Dee is especially familiar with the military life and various hardships that can accompany the military lifestyle.  She has a great compassion for the problems that many of Erin Shank’s military clients have encountered and is eager to help them find the solutions that will get them on the road to financial freedom.

Dee moved to the Killeen area in 1960 and has seen a lot of changes that have taken place in the community over the past 40+ years.   She worked in Real Estate for over 20 years in Florida and in the Killeen area and was formerly a partner/owner in Show Place Homes Real Estate.

Dee also worked for more than 25 years with Sallie Mae, the country’s largest originator of federally insured student loans.  While employed with Sallie Mae, Dee was a Quality Customer Service Monitor and Instructor/Educator for the over 300 Representatives of Sallie Mae.  She went through numerous training courses and learned the importance of developing the skills necessary to provide quality customer service to the customers during her tenure there.  Dee knows that providing the best customer service is essential to any business and delights in sharing this with the clients of Erin B. Shank, P.C.

Dee is happily married to her wonderful husband Jerry, who has been an Educator and Coach with the Killeen ISD for over 35 years.  As a military wife, Dee worked in many different capacities, assisting with all types of agencies within the military, all over the world, including the Mideast, Germany as well as assignments in the United States.

Dee and Jerry have 3 daughters and one son and enjoy special times with the family and especially their 9 grandchildren.
